Obstacles? No problem when you've got Autumn!

Updated: Jun 5, 2019

I have to say, the "Overcoming Obstacles with Lightness" clinic with Autumn Howland on July 7 and 8 was a huge success. On Saturday, I worked with Trista, my 20+ Oldenburg/Thoroughbred cross. Trista didn't get out much as a youngster and consequently, can be a bit overwhelmed with new experiences. This clinic was EXACTLY what she needed. I was surprised and thrilled when she bravely walked over the bridge, through the elevated strings and over tarps and super scary crackly plastic bottles. And then we TROTTED over and through most of the obstacles, first from the ground and then as a team. Autumn is a pro at guiding, and encouraging each horse and rider combo; many, many thanks, Autumn!

Sam, Alex, Janet, Talia and Irene also worked wonders with their steeds. The weather was ultra sunny but with a strong breeze, making it pretty much a perfect weekend. Thanks everyone, for making this such a wonderful weekend! It was fun to see your progress and experience success with each of you!
