Since starting an Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) program in May, 2022, I became more interested in equine organizations which provide resources, training & certification for EAL and Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT) programs. The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) program stood out to me as providing a broad array of training and certification. I joined the organization late last year, and have benefitted greatly from the downloadable resources, and have plans to attend a virtual conference next week.

The professionals I have connected with are highly qualified and passionate about both the specific field of equine assisted services (EAS) that is their specialty, and about the welfare of the horses who are integral to all such programs and services. The equine welfare committee has been very active in writing standards, and seeks to draft a curriculum which will benefit all strands of the PATH programming. I'm excited to continue to make connections, to attend conferences, and to explore the resources that are available in the online store - some free, some for a very reasonable cost.
What an exciting opportunity! It is so gratifying to know there are organizations out there invested in education and well being for all stakeholders!
