Although I had always had visions of rotating my pastures, it took a number of years of working on fencing projects, coupled with the sense of urgency brought on by the recent weather patterns - too much rain followed by long periods of drought, and exceptionally warm temperatures (for northern Wisconsin), to move the vision to reality. The set up I have is not yet ideal, but I am now able to rest my pastures, and can continue to perfect the system. It has already begun to result in healthier pastures. Because the website linked here is so thorough, I end my post by directing you to the experts. Rotational Grazing

Such an important piece of environmental health! I, too, am constantly working on fencing projects so I can rotate pastures! A never-ending battle, but I do love making my horses happier!
