I am filled with awe when I watch the horses cavorting around the pasture. They are the embodiment of grace, beauty, power and majesty! I've heard it said by more than one horse person, that even if they could never ride again, watching the horses in the pasture would be enough, and I totally echo that sentiment.
I am further amazed when I consider the power that is unleashed when horses are galloping about in the winds before an oncoming storm. As I contemplate that strength and power, I am fully aware that when I am riding, I am able to direct and guide that power only because the 1000 lb animal under the saddle is willing to let me do so! It is a true indication of the partnership that exists between horse and rider, and having
the opportunity to experience the grace and power of a horse in motion is one of the most wonderful feelings there is!
